| Review: | Don't care about thier students Would not recommend this school. Although, they do have one of the best staffs, except for the two individuals that do all the scheduling. Those two need to go back to flying and let someone with management skills work in that position. The dispatch workers are the best ever, they are hard working and care about thier customers. The flights schools' primary focus is the Chinese students. They have some instructors that are pretty good, but good luck getting one of them. It may takes weeks just to get an instructor assigned to your training. You may also get passed off to a different instructor in the middle of your training. You will waste your money on repetitive training flights, to many aircraft are in for maintenance, then you have to fight for the instructors time. The Chinese have priority over aircraft flight instructors and checkrides. Don't be surprized if your flight gets canceled for one the Chinese student. They also use the worst flight examiner, so good luck passing a checkride. Since they moved to Hondo it is very dangerous flying in the traffic pattern. There is no tower and you have several solo students in the pattern who are very hard to understand. Stinson has a real good school called Pro Flight. So don't wast your time or money with this school. Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | Too many chief bozos These people are cocky idoits and for what? They suck. The so called Chief and assistant Chiefs (and they have a lot of them) are amatures at best. I guess they couldn't make it at the airlines so they became so called chiefs. They walk around in a uniform thinking they are airline pilots to support their ego. Embarrising!!! Don't wast your time or money going here. Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | Overpriced and very busy Would not recommend this school. Their primary focus seems to be churning out students for a Chinese pilot exchange program. They have a fair number of aircraft to rent however they stay busy enough that scheduling can be difficult. You may also get passed off to a different instructor in the middle of your training. The training program ends up wasting your money on simulator flights and repetitive training flights and the instructors pad their ground hours as well. They tell you a 'realistic' cost estimate (between $9-10K when I did it) but I had already spent 50% more than that by the time I was up for my check ride at only about 55 hours following their lesson plan. So don't believe what they tell you about cost. Find a school at Stinson or maybe even just a freelance instructor at a smaller airport and go Part 61 and save yourself the headache and money of dealing with these clowns. Some of their instructors are good but almost all of them are young guys just looking to build hours so they can leave and do something else. Their rental rates are also not very good, you can probably do better at other airports in the area. I got my certificate but I have never felt more ripped off. Comments [ 0 ] |
