| Review: | Not just dreaming of flying anymore! My 11 year old son's dreams of flying quickly became a reality when he found the Coastal Empire Flight Training website: idreamofflying.com With one phone call he was flying around the island putting his simulator gaming to the ultimate test. A year later, he has logged many, many hours in the cockpits of various planes in the fleet, all fueling his passion to become a pilot when he is old enough. His instructor has become his biggest mentor and I am amazed how he gets just as much attention, respect, professional guidance, and all out friendship as a grown client. He is so confident flying and feels so comfortable with his instruction, he takes our whole family and even his friends up with him to discover his passion. I can only speak as a parent of a student, but if you are looking to discover if flying is in your child/teen's destiny, there is absolutely no better place to find out. The staff is amazing, and we feel honored our son found such a top notch facility to pursue his dream. Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | Best Flight School. For all the right reasons! I have flown at a lot of different flight schools, and I have found Coastal Empire to be the best! I don’t live in Savannah GA; I drove 400 miles to train at Coastal Empire Flight training. The admin staff did an outstanding job to accommodate me for my expedited timeline for my flight training. Their aircraft fleet is incredible! The instructors have an unparalleled love for aviation, and it shows in how they instruct and mentor their student pilots. The comfort level is incomparable to any other school, because it is a family atmosphere where you genuinely feel welcome and are encouraged to do your best. The positive attitude from the extremely well knowledged instructors truly makes you feel at ease and ensures your success. My personal experience was nothing short of spectacular. I earned two ratings in under six days and I only flew four of those days, including both the FAA check rides. The bottom line, I would recommend this school 100%. I look forward to earning the rest of my fixed wing ratings from Coastal Empire Flight Training. They are THE BEST! Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | Not a Bad School I have had the chance to work with this Flight School on both sides of the spectrum. Both on the management side along with aircraft rental and instruction. The planes are trainers, bottom line. They fly well and do what they need to do. The instructors are full of knowledge and are professional both inside and outside the cockpit. As an instructor myself, I needed a BFR and I felt right at home with the instruction that I needed. Questions were answered immediately with what I needed to know. Sure, offices are small, however, the plane is where you will learn. Good school, friendly people, good prices. Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | Float Plane Training Recently, I had the chance to obtain my Sea Plane rating through the school. The plane was/is fun to fly and Denis knows what he is talking about. I was able to complete the training in a very efficient manner and I can now look forward to renting the plane in the future. There are not very many places in the US that rent these planes (5, I think), and this is one. Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | Family feel Coastal Empire Flight is very family oriented. Everyone who works or has been through there seem to just fit right in. If you are looking for a large classroom enviroment you will not find this here. The location is small, and is open for an exclusive one on one experience with your instructor. Instructors are not airhogs nor are they "exclusive" to their students so you can approach any of them to expand your knowledge. Safty is the most important concern when it comes to flying, and every effort is made to ensure the safty of staff, student or spectator is met. Points specificasions: Facilities: small, yet open for a one on one experience. Instruction/ground: pilots will work with you and discuss anything you have questions about to better your flying skills. They do not rush, they work at your pace. If you are comfortable in advancing, then you are moved towards your next set of goals. aircraft/courses: aircraft are maintained to ensure aircraft is safe to operate. If an issue needs to be addressed, the situation is fixed quickly as possible. Cost: Over all, the school is a little higher in some aspects, but in comparison they are right on with everyone else. Would I recommend: yes, and I have Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | Very Professional I visited other schools int he area and the aircraft they had were way over priced. One of the Cessnas they had was nore than 1000 hours over TBO! The Diamond they had was $15 more per hour for the same exact aircraft as their competitor. The aircraft were maintained very well and if anything was broekn they downed the aircraft to fix it right away instead of sticking a stiicker on it telling you it was broken. WHenever I got into the airplane EVERYTHING worked as it should. Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | Seriously Reconsider Before Flying Here Airplanes are not maintained and do not feel safe to fly. I had to cancel so many flights because of maintenance, and it really slowed me down in my training. Most of the staff have an attitude of "let's get you done as fast as possible" and I always felt extremely rushed. They don't like to do ground school because they want to save you money! Last I checked, self-study combined with the required groundschool helps you more with the flying, which in turn will save you money! The office is a small, noisy, and un-professional environment. There were kids running around and toys all over the floor everytime I was there. DO NOT FLY HERE! Keep looking for another school, I promise you won't be missing out on anything! Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | Less Expensive Doesn't Mean Better! Aircraft are older, and did not appear to be well maintained. Planes were constantly down because something was broken, or not working. Office very, very small. 2 rooms, no space or privacy to plan a flight. Schedule constantly changing, different type plane, different instructor. Cost- you get what you pay for. Do your homework, compare facilities and airplanes with other places. Talk to other pilots Comments [ 0 ] |
