Review: Don't go here!
I've never met an epic student who was happy with their training.

FACT: Epic mis-managed its fleet so badly that they had to come begging ATP to lease them their oldest '79 series Piper Seminoles.

FACT: Epic's own instructors were not paid or had their pay checks bounce at one point.

FACT: Epic does a very poor job communicating with their students and keeping them informed! Its not uncommon to see students just waiting around not knowing when their instructor is going to show up.

Look at the reviews here. They are either terrible or glowing. Believe the bad ones, they all have the same consistent message; Don't pay up front, the management is poor, and the garuntees are worthless. The reviews giving Epic 10/10 are clearly made up by current Epic staff.

I would say try looking at ATP. Since you'd be flying their aircraft anyway. However, ATP recently hired Mike Campbell (former Epic manager) as their sales guy at Daytona Beach. So now you're sure to be getting the same empty promises and BS from ATP that dragged Epic down. Epic and Campbell both have a terrible reputation in the area.

Please talk to current or former Epic students about the school's reputation! Not the Epic staff!!

If you want a recommendation on where to do your training, contact an FAA Pilot Examiner. They do check rides at every flight school and see the results first hand.

I totally agree with it, having a worst experience in epic i took a lot relief at a different school. 230$/hr for c-172 and 500$ a month for rent, well that what they claim, but for 50hr, epic calculator shows 19000$ in 4 months. Thats epic. 90% of the students leave unhappy and of them many changes their flight school in between due to their harrasment. And yes Mike Champbell is the culprit there and he will be any where he shows up(he has got that attitude).

Its amazing when you do what you were supposed to do and follow the rules, Mike Campbell was more than happy to help and was supportive. I went to Epic when some of these idiots that wrote these things did and Mr Campbell was forced to to enforce rules that students couldn't abide by. He was a great manager and unfortunately had to deal with some less than desirable students that came to party instead of fly and learn!
