| Review: | Former student Everything was great. Good planes, good instruction, good people. A++ flight school. I would recommend it to anyone. Just come prepared to study. It's not a cake walk. It's a challenge. They expect mature people that are serious about flying. Anything less and you won't make it. |

Who are you? I know the instructors and would listen at their frustrations at trying to teach some of the students. Epic's instructor attrition rate is very low and there are some very high time and very knowledgeable instructors on staff, trying to impart just a little bit of interest in aviation to the students who just treat it like they are getting a job and that's it. There's no passion among the students. There's no research that has to be done, I know first hand as I've gone through their program. But some people just cannot be taught to a high standard. That's why they go to the smaller flight schools and clubs throughout the country, flying old, dilapidated 150's and cherokee 140's instead of G1000's. My question for you on the multi is would you rather wait 2+ months to get your multi done using Epic's one (now 2?) duchess' or would you like them to fly with you up at another school in the interest of getting you done quicker? I think it is quite admirable that Epic would pass up on the revenue from the multi flights in an effort to finish students in a shorter amount of time rather then telling you that you can't fly for 2 or more months until there is room for you. You ever think of that? Probably not. And before you keep trashing Epic's name, think of something. I talked to a couple ex-Riddle students who are Epic instructors about the tornado that hit the school few years back. Ruined their fleet at riddle and where did they get planes? From other schools. People help people out in this industry, a concept that is lost on you. Keep talking crap. What did you get kicked out for? Are you even a current student or just repeating something you read someplace else on the internet? Epic is a great flight school that is doing the best they can with what they're given. |

Let's talk about getting kicked out. We make all of our installments for your program, then when you make up a new reason to kick out a student you kick them out and refund them nothing. You keep all the money. I don’t care what we did, where EVER do you find it legal or fair to keep the rest of the funds if they are not used. If a student is kicked out and should have over $25,000 left on account and you keep it all and refund nothing. Epic does not treat students like customers they treat us like dogs. They call us kids, or worse. Instructors insult us and say we stink. Are we not the ones paying to attend here? Why do I need to pay to receive this kind of treatment? Danny and Mike toy with your families future like its a game. |
