| Review: | I had no idea what i was doing there :( I was a student at this flight school may be about 8-10 months ago, and couldn't tolerate the flight school management. I was unhappy about the instructor assigned to me and when requested to change they denied, how horrible can this be. May be because they had the attitude that foreign students had no much options :(. Before Coming to the cost involved in training, let me explain you that people pay more money to buy a RollsRoyce than a Toyota vehicle, but just think how u feel when people are selling Toyota in a Rolls Royce showroom? shocked? well this is all about Epic aviation. well if you think this is part of business strategy? Please don't consider my review, as i have seen lot of strategy in life with my past jobs. They are in the business for past 10yr is what they say, but to my understanding, they are running business with out ethics, goals or no quality control in what they are offering, come on now how horrible it would be that except the owner, no one in this company had worked for more than 10 yr's. was funny to me when i investigated what went wrong with me in that flight school. Well I believe that a branded stuff cost a lot, but not obviously people don't pay to each brand the same high price, if you do so, i would consider them fools. Just imagine your self when you joined the flight school by seeing the profile of the chief pilot having an airline experience and at the end of the day, you get an flight instructor just passed out from a local flight school, not know what to teach to his new students., If you don't believe me, go check your self and may be you could ask what kind of instructor you gonna get assigned? and decide by your self. They pretty much charge for every thing and let me put the price so you could judge by yourself, So right from Pre-ground briefing and post ground briefing (i guess it is .5 hr of your flight time), They charge you every hour of ground they take from you, 60$ per hour(heard they only pay instructor 20$ or less out of the 60$). well i guess all other taxes as applicable on the above prices, Housing is charged about 500$ a month, you stay in a house which cost about 1200$ a month well if u are wondering what's the catch, it is a two bedroom flat and each bedroom has two occupants and u do the maths. but pass is issued at 10$ higher price than what is sold at bus depot. excess utility bill for any excess usage of current gas or other shit. Just a small tip to u before going to epic housing, please get some quarts for god sake, you need them for laundry. Comments [ 0 ] |

| Review: | Got what I paid for I honestly dont know what are these guys problems, if you are serious about aviation then you will have no problem here. I did everything from private to multi commercial in 6 months, of course there were delays, but that happens in every school. The flight instructors are HIGHLY knowledgeable, and the aircrafts are relatively new, their oldest one is from 2005. If you are serious about becoming a professional pilot you will go trough your training quick and you will be here writing a good review like im doing.. if you are irresponsible and lazy you'll be writing a bad review, like some of the guys are doing. | Review: | My review for Epic Aviation Me and my son have considered a long time, before choosing Epic Aviation. And because of their great training, facilities and offers, we never regreted our Decision. The training was great, the instructors were friendly, and the training was never hasty. the quiet athmosphere was very important, because a student off course doesn’t know everything, and Epic Aviation understands very well, that it’s their responsibility to teach their students. The training only works if the student and the instructor are able to work together . In my opinion, Epic did a great job. Thanks to Epic, my son has obtained his private pilot license, and is going to get his instrument rating off course also at Epic Aviation. Unfortunatelly his training was delayed by the unpredictable weather in Florida, but in the end, I’m happy that at Epic they don’t take any chances or risks. I also want to mention the clean facilities, the great simulators and the very helpfull teaching materials. The training was very disciplined, so any misbehaviour by students was stopped right at the beginning. As a father I can only recommend this school to anyone, who appreciates quality. Students have to know, that they learn for themselves and not fort he instructor or the school. I hope, the next part of my sons training at Epic Aviation will be as effective and fast as the first part. Like I said before, I can only recommend this school. All parts 10 point is sure. | Review: | Don't go here! I've never met an epic student who was happy with their training. FACT: Epic mis-managed its fleet so badly that they had to come begging ATP to lease them their oldest '79 series Piper Seminoles. FACT: Epic's own instructors were not paid or had their pay checks bounce at one point. FACT: Epic does a very poor job communicating with their students and keeping them informed! Its not uncommon to see students just waiting around not knowing when their instructor is going to show up. Look at the reviews here. They are either terrible or glowing. Believe the bad ones, they all have the same consistent message; Don't pay up front, the management is poor, and the garuntees are worthless. The reviews giving Epic 10/10 are clearly made up by current Epic staff. I would say try looking at ATP. Since you'd be flying their aircraft anyway. However, ATP recently hired Mike Campbell (former Epic manager) as their sales guy at Daytona Beach. So now you're sure to be getting the same empty promises and BS from ATP that dragged Epic down. Epic and Campbell both have a terrible reputation in the area. Please talk to current or former Epic students about the school's reputation! Not the Epic staff!! If you want a recommendation on where to do your training, contact an FAA Pilot Examiner. They do check rides at every flight school and see the results first hand. Comments [ 2 ] |

| Review: | Total fraud school This school is a total fraud. I am a former student. Their fixed price programs are a sham. After they take all the money, they remove you from the fixed program on some lame excuse. They do not have even have their own multi engine planes for training. Their fleet advertised on the website is a joke. They charge exorbitant rent for substandard housing. The housing pictures advertised on the website are fake. There are lot of better school than Epic. The management is after your money. They don't smile at students and they are so selfish. We have to BEG them, if we need something from them. | Review: | Not a Good Place for students Well i read some reviews, both good and bad and ignored the bad part thinking that different people have different opinion and no flight school can satisfy each and every one. With a positive opinion, I stepped in Epic. "Why did u joined the freaking epic..." was the question a guy asked me who was supposed to be my house mate at Ocean oaks(epic housing). After few days of my experience with epic i realized "why am i here" and started recalling what sin did i do in the past that god cursed me with epic. The management really sucks. there is nothing called respecting students. every one in the management are all concerned about getting money from the students and not bothered to give the same value of flight training. Surprising was that the management was so cruel that they fired a Chief of the school as he was the guy who always favored students because i am afraid he was helping students so he got fired. Finally beware of epic president Mike Campbell and admissions Danny Perna. Finally these guys will definitely get some punishment in their lives for deceiving innocent students. Comments [ 1 ] |

| Review: | Very Happy I came for PPL and IR. Now I convert to JAA license. It was very quick and I received all the attention I desired for my studies. Very experienced instructors. I work hard and thus treated with the respect of a customer. I am pleased with my service at Epic. I can tell you only from expiernce Epic Aviation is one of the best in the world. By no means are they perfect. However, I have never felt safer in brand new aircraft with Glass cockpit just like the airlines. the staff worked as hard as I did making sure I flew as much as possible. Now that I have completed, the most important is I know I have the best education in the world and going to my first interview I out performed everyone with my knowledge and my abilities. for those looking for a new school, I say do your home work take the time and money to look at the school before giving any money and stay away from paying all up front. | Review: | Rags To Riches Epic is a school that had an excellent salesman who "lied" his way into selling it what it is today , u get charged a lot and the time frame given is totally wrong as well as i was stuck there at a time when they recruited half of bloody India and had not enough aircrafts to give students. The owner is a person that an average human being will not be able to carry on a conversation with. The school made millions off the indian crowds but were also very "racist" in their ways of dealing with the students. Its the indians that made this small town "trailer park" boy a very wealthy man. The infrastructure was never built , we had a "trailer" for a bloody ground school. The aircrafts were always in maintenance , the weather was really bad for weeks and months of the time i was there. There is currently a "bald" manager there that has a "freaky fetish" for most women cause he's a pervert , employees as well as students , he has a sexual harrasement case been slapped onto him by an ex female employee and has behaved shady with many an 18 yr old "babygirl" student of his. The instructors were good (most of em) and the aircrafts were safe (as long as they were out of maintenance) which was 30%-40% of the time only. They got famous by the "word of mouth" of the indians , and then got "infamous" the same way , word has been passed around india about peoples experiences in the school. They will never get as much the business ever again. All in all not a good place to be in if u dont wanna have bad experiences. Small town America aint for u if ur anything cept a white person. U get called a terrorist even when ur in a decent uniform walking to a bloody bus stop to get to the airport. So why would u want to pay so much for all this hassle ?? go to places where u pay as much but atleast get treated with respect cause the last thing u need is to be stressed during a thing like a flight course , ur focus gets outta place. If Epic needs a change its probably their Attitude and Management that needs a change and maybe they could and would finally become a great flight school someday Comments [ 4 ] |

| Review: | Awesome planes, simulators and instructors Thanks to Epic I am confident in my piloting abilities. Their fixed price program is not scam. It's not a free-for-all as some other reviewers expected - they hold us to a standard as any good flight school should. With Epic I fly G1000 Cessna 172s, got my private in 60 hours, my instrument in 37 and now timebuild. I fly every day and have been here for 4 months. I totally expect to be finished in the 6 months they said it would take. Epic just got a new wrap around simulator and their new Aviation Skills Development ground school is the best introduction to flying I can imagine. The Instructors are passionate and experienced - most with well over 1000 hours dual given. Domestic or International - this is a great school and great program. Comments [ 11 ] |

| Review: | Come and see for yourself I am a student at epic aviation currently I joined in 2009 . There was a time when epic charged between 39000 and 42000 dollars for the fixed price program It wasnt sustainable for them to be in business for that kind of money since oil cost $147 a barrel Either they charged the students more or they had to shut down and the students to find another school somewhere else without getting their money back Which do you think was better ? Today the fixed price program costs me $57,598 and no i dont pay the entire money upfront i only pay in 5 equal monthly installments I also paid a $500 housing deposit which is refundable as long as i dont damage anything in the housing provided I can opt to stay out their housing should i wish and they will only charge $54,300 for the fixed price program And yes they profit from it . Which means they will still be business . They had to fire employees in order to cut their costs as well deduct salaries It really is a great flying school . With a fun environment and one of the best maintained fleet available . Although i must admit their multi engine aircraft was in the maintenance for longer than usual But they are planing to lease a couple of new piper seminole with glass cockpits so that students finish their training on time Now about the negative reviews on Epic Aviation A select few students who probably has never seen the word CLEAN in their dictionary were kicked out of the housing That's because they broke the rules of the housing agreement that they signed They totally trashed the housing... The living conditions were totally horrible... You would puke on the spot if you see it for yourself... And there is more than just a stain on the rug . There are only irreparable stains on the rug . The rugs are 85% stains and the rest visible carpet . Now epic aviation has to replace them at their own expense or else they will lose their contract with Ocean Oaks which affect the rest of the students staying at Ocean Oaks Its good thing that they were kicked out otherwise epic would lose its contract with ocean oaks and all the rest of us would be kicked out to find housing for ourselves The other reviewers about epic aviation seems to have forgotten to mention about the cause that started this whole thing about being kicked out There was party that took place at Ocean Oaks apartment 1622 on March 20th 2009 As per the agreement signed by its students they broke the following violations 1. No parties 2. Underage drinking 3. No smoking inside the house 4. Cop Involvement Somebody called the cops and they came not once but TWICE . They were lucky that they werent arrested . And after all these violations you expect epic to still keep those who violated the rules within their housing . ABSOLUTELY NO !!! I would call epic idiots if they continued to let those students live over there.... All this was despite epic sending a notice that they will be performing surprise inspections at their housing . Sure come to ocean oaks and find out for yourself what happened to these students . Ask the Ocean Oaks management and its workers about it . They will tell you the truth These guys really dont deserve to sit in the cockpit of an aircraft or an airline . They were lucky that epic didnt kick them out of their program for violating the rules and regulations These students who you see online represent only 1/10 of the students at epic The best students finish the program in 6 months some take 7 others 8 or 9 . Thats cause different people learn at different speeds . We are not all created the same Some students take more than a year . Thats because they dont study on time and simply keep postponing their classes and come to class without studying anything despite repeated instructions to study and come Some students that were kicked out of their housing failed their written test more than once I mean c'mon..... The questions are given the answers are given and you guys still cant study .... You need to find another career.... The reason i am putting this review out here is so that future students who plan on coming here are not mislead by a bunch of students who are determined to take revenge on epic by posting negative reviews out here inorder to give epic a bad name Remember they represent less than 1/10 th of the students at epic . I do hope that i given the truth out here I will be posting a review of my experience here at epic once i am done with my commercial Whenever you ask someone for an opinion on a topic never make your descion on one person's opinion alone . Get the other side of the story too. Ask as many as possible P.S : I am a student at epic and not from its management . | Review: | dont walk away RUN...Liers Cheats Please do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this one as you can. They take full money b4 u come n dont have money to pay bills. They sell guarantee course n they kick everyone off the course. accomidation is included in course, n so many have been kicked out of housing, n ve go to office and find out they kick us out when lease comes up just to save money. They leave us stranded like dogs. They kick a student out for stain on a rug. If you retaliate they kick you out. Parents call n call n call n no one answers the phones, or cell phones. Karma will come to those. Oh they are sweet to you until you send money, then they leave you stranded at the airport. The damn sales team are foriegn grads too. They must have owed them money. | Review: | not a good experience they have good cessna 172 , glass cockit but their dutches is always in maintainence. they promised all of us a gaureented fixed price program for a minimum of 250 hours and CPL of flying and suddenly one day emailed us that we all need to pay per fly from now on .. so most of us paid $42000 for less than 150 hours ...
